Logo feedback
I like logo "A" the most. I think it is very important to have the name Kirksville Area Motion on the logo so people have a good idea of what they are looking at. I think it looks best to have the words Kirksville Area Motion be the same color as the picture, and I find the spacing of "A" more attractive than "E".
I've gotten a couple comments
I've gotten a couple comments in various places and I'm collecting them here.
Jen likes d and g.
Jackie says "I'd go for choice a but with the wheelchair guy on the right above the capital A."
Nell likes the green ones.
I puzzled over the wheelchair guy for a while before I figured out it was a wheelchair, so that one might need tweaking. I like having a neon color, my favorite color is orange. The ones where the wheel of the wheelchair is the same as the back wheel of the bike are a bit confusing; we could try adding a 3rd wheel to those pictures.
I like G and H but I agree
I like G and H but I agree that I very much would like to see the entire name written out somewhere along the logo. Perhaps "Kirksville Area" could be written in small font at the top of the G logo or around the circle in H logo.
Logos
I like 'A' the best as the primary logo, but agree that moving the single wheeled person above the A may look better. Until I read Rachel's comment, I thought the single wheeled person was riding a unicycle. The addition of a small wheel would clarify things. I also agree that the full name should be in the primary logo. 'E' is similar to 'A', but I think 'A' utilizes the space better. I like the "bumper stick"-like form of 'I', which could fit some locations (like the car bumper) better than the larger logos. However, I think this would be best used as a secondary logo. The same can be side for 'D' and 'H', which would be better recognized after the community becomes familiar with the primary logo. The idea of having 4 different logos of various shapes is good to have more flexibility depending on the circumstances.
Logo A or F
I like the Logo A, but could be improved with a black coloring on the "Kirksville Area MOTION." The contrast of black color in Logo F really emphasizes the name. I also think it's important to have the whole name spell out.
logo
Choices I and J are are more simple. Simplicity may be desirable for a logo. The 2 v-shapes (turn signals?) could be moved up to be in line and next to the other symbols to point toward the name (>>KAMotion). Underneath, we could use a different font and spell out Kirksville Area Motion. The green is nice. In case we need to make only black and white copies, does it copy well? Outlining may help.
