2. MoDOT director Kevin Keith's message

1. Yves Engler is the author of "Stop Signs: Cars and Capitalism on the Road to Economic, Social and Ecological Decay".

2. MoDOT director Kevin Keith spoke to Kirksville the message he's been repeating all over the state: MoDOT funding is running out. Due to increased fuel efficiency and electric cars, fuel tax revenues are no longer a viable funding source for our transportation. His drastic cuts to MoDOT bought us just a little time to solve the problem. Whether we walk, bike, and/or motor our way around, we need infrastructure to travel.
