Bike Rodeo

About 20 kids came out for Bike Rodeo this morning, and several parents and grandparents rode their bikes too. Truman students from the Health and Exercise Science Department organized the event, with support from Assistant City Manager Melanie Smith. Members of the Kirksville Bike Co-op adjusted helmet straps and checked bicycles for safety. Kids practiced riding a straight line through a figure-8 course with a "stop sign" in the middle. They practiced their turn signals and stop signals. They swerved between cones and practiced riding in a straight line to complete the obstacle course.
